Louise, The Lovebirds, was published in 1989 by Merrimack
Publications. The artists is the fantastic and well know artist Judy
Johnson. She has given me permission to use Louise. She draws many,
many paper dolls and has her own web site where you can browse her
selection. She also restores many old paper doll books. I used
Louise because I had a really fun experience this spring. Two little
doves made a nest in one of my flower boxes on my 10th floor
balcony. They allowed me to watch the eggs hatch and then follow the
two little doves as they matured and finally flew away. When they
left I was sad but very proud to see them soar upwards. They have
come back several times for a visit and allow me to stand right next
to them on the balcony. Steve and I are now in the process of
adopting a baby Parrotlet, a tiny little parrot. I'll include some
pictures in the next issue of Origamibears.

Total Teddy was published in 1985 by The Good Idea Company in San
Jose, California. It's a fantastic teddy bear activity book, I've
included the paper dolls and a make-it-yourself tree house using 2
shoe boxes. |
